Measuring Product Success
Measuring Product Success
"How is GovTech product doing?" " How many users are using Product X?" "Are we spending too much $$ on product X?" These are some of the commonly asked questions but no answer that currently. Product team is unable to identify their areas for improvement and management has no base to make data driven decisions on resource allocation, product performance evaluation and drive product success. How might we then measure a product’s success in GovTech and allow product team and senior leadership to make data driven decisions on products using their impact, finance, and manpower metrics?
Our team’s proposed solution is the GovTech Product Scorecard, a portal that display the metrics, finance data, and manpower of a product on a quarterly basis.
Features
Allow users to view a product’s metrics, finance, and manpower data
Allow Product Managers to report this data on a quarterly basis
Allow users to compare products of their choosing based on the above data
Allow users to view a programme’s finance and manpower data, as well as the average impact of their products
Have a CRUD interface for admins to manage products and programmes
We believe that with a unified GovTech Product Scorecard, it will result in an organisation that’s more efficient because the transparency of data allows senior management to make proper data-driven decisions, and properly measure the health of products and programmes.
The prototype streamlines decision-making by providing real-time insights, improving visibility into product performance, and reducing manual effort through automation. Teams can make data-driven decisions faster, leading to higher adoption, improved KPI outcomes, and stronger alignment with leadership priorities.
