Problem Statement

How might we guide secondary school students to explore diverse career opportunities aligned with their profiles (RIASEC) and sense of purpose so that informed decisions can be made when selecting their career paths?

Solution

Our solution aims to help students explore diverse career opportunities by asking questions to find out what's their passion and purpose in life. In doing so, using OpenAI LLM, we match students to jobs that are related to their strengths and interests. Jobs are added to their inventory for easy reference, comparison and sorting based on prioritization of their work values and skills confidence.

Impact and Outcome Analysis

The solution guide students to uncover what matters to them, broadens perspectives on career options and gives greater confidence in making informed choices and managing their education and career plans.

Future Steps

  • Integration with existing Student's SkillsFuture Portal for login, retrieving of existing RIASEC profile, skills confidence and work values
  • Improve UI/UX
  • Improve error handling
  • Improve performance
  • Update jobs db with latest from SSOC
