Summary

LangBuddy is an AI-powered conversation simulator designed to help Primary 5 and 6 students practice their Mother Tongue Languages (MTL) in realistic, context-driven simulations. By leveraging AI, this tool provides immersive experiences that reinforce language skills, bridging the gap between classroom learning and everyday use.

Problem

Students struggle to build fluency in their Mother Tongue due to limited opportunities for conversation outside the classroom. Many families primarily speak English at home, reducing chances for immersive practice. This lack of exposure affects students' confidence and cultural understanding.

Product Goals

  • Develop an AI chatbot that engages students in natural MTL conversations.
  • Align the chatbot's knowledge base with the MTL curriculum.
  • Create a user-friendly web/mobile interface for interactive learning.
  • Conduct pilot studies in schools to validate the tool's effectiveness.
